META B. DOHERTY : Meta spent her formative years in New York City, enjoying the arts, gracious dining and pizza by the slice while studying biology at City College. She started her practice of yoga there in the 70’s. She lived and worked onboard MV Tropic Bird in the Virgin Islands as a dive instructor where she met her partner and together they travelled the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia before settling in Perth, Australia. Ayurveda became part of her experiential studies in the latter part of the last millennium and has blossomed into friendship, writing, consultation and service offered to all sentient beings. Meta is also the author of a cookbook based on ayurvedic principles Sattwa Cafe, published by Lotus Press.
