In this, various stages of the philosophical development of Rigveda – Vedic polytheism, Vedic monotheism, Vedic monotheism, and the central concepts of Upanishad philosophy – Bahya, Atman, Brahman and the identity of the soul, Maya, and Moksha have been explained in detail. Gyan-Yoga, Bhakti-Yoga, and Karma-Yoga of Gita have been properly highlighted. Apart from this, there is a lot of material on various philosophies like Charvaka, Buddhism, Jainism, Vaisheshika, Sankhya, Yoga, Mimamsa, etc.
