'Kavyaprakash' written by Acharya Mammata, is considered as an authentic and highly valuable work in Indian classic literature. The work was so great and important that many well-known scholars from far and wide wrote commentaries on it from different angles. Among them was Bhatt Kamalakar, a great and authentic scholar whose commentary on the book established him as a great Sanskrit scholar. For over two centuries now, this commentary has become a literary tradition among the scholars and students of classic literature. His contribution in making Sanskrit classics available to common remarkable. man is Born in March 1927, Acharya Shukla taught Sanskrit in various Government colleges of Madhya Pradesh and retired as Professor of Sanskrit in 1987.
He has guided a number of Sanskrit scholars for their Doctorate in Sanskrit. Besides many scholarly works Acharya Shukla edited Madhyabharati (Jabalpur) - a Journal of higher research. He has been awarded by M.P. and U.P. Governments. The M.P. Sahitya Parishad honoured him by Tamrapatra and a cash award. He has edited more than 40 manuscripts. Presently he is residing at 48, Saket Nagar, Indore Road, Ujjain.
