The word 'Guru' embodies the highest attainment in life -supreme love and profound bliss. Moreover in Baba Muktananda's words, "No one can give you love as the Guru can. The love that you experience in your mundane life is petty and short-lived. A petty love has a short life span, and when this love departs, hatred arises. But nothing can equal the elixir of the Guru's love."
Baba Muktananda was such a Guru, and his love for his own Guru, Bhagavan Nityananda inspired countless devotees. This profound Guru-disciple relationship is once again portrayed between Baba and his disciple and successor, Gurumayi Chidvilasananda.
