About the Book
The Present work deals with the Evolution of Sanskrit-Lyric-Poetry of Orissa. It is completely a new step towards the field to which the land of Jagannath has contributed a lot. It in corporate the Critical study of some eight works from different angles of vision. The lyrical aspect of a Nataka (Drsya Kavya) has also been examined for the first time. The Ragas, Talas, sentiments, figures of speech. meters, literary and musical values have been analysed.

About the Author
Dr. P. Banerjee was born on 10.8.1952 at Srikrishnapur (kuanpal) dist-Cuttack of Orissa. He completed his accademic carreer from Utkal University and Rastriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Delhi and joined as a lecturer in Govt. College Dhenkanal in 1977. He has command over Oriya, Bengali, Sanskrit, English and Hindi languages. He has literary Pursuits. His Publicaitons are: Vrajayuvavilasa mahākāvyam (in two vols), Aneka Swarara Banshi and many other poems, Articles and Research Papers.
