PREFACE
It came to me as a pleasant surprise in the form of an honour to me so unexpectedly. In the letter accompanying second set of short stories Miss Sushila Kadian desired me to write a preface to the stories.
Prior to the stories sent by Miss Kadian I have had the opportunity of going through a good number of stories written by her which were published in The SUN. In her stories Miss Kadian has revealed many such incidents as they leave a long-lasting impact on the thinking of the reader. Literature in its varying forms serves the purpose of a mirror in the society. Occurrences and incidents get place in the literature to make the society realise its worth by looking its face into the mirror, that is, the literature of the day. The description of the occurances and incidents authenticate the fact that they coexist. Stories in this book form the finest aspect in the society. Narration of events in the stories with plots gives way to the most impressive style of story writing of Miss Kadian.
It has been seen that generally in stories, women
