Description
When Jesus stood on a hillside, surrounded by people hungry to know more about God, He told them stories. But they were not religious stories. He did not teach them about theology or philoso-phy. Jesus told stories about everyday things: a woman who lost a coin, a farmer who unearthed a treasure, a rebellious son who learned how great his father's love really was.
Jesus used easily remembered stories to teach about the Kingdom of Heaven. His stories conveyed eternal truths. And stories-simple, well-told stories convey those same truths today.
In a similar way, we pray that these new "stories" from RiverOak will open the hearts of readers to receive the truths Jesus wants us to learn today: forgiveness is available to you for the asking, fail-ure is not final, God's life-changing love is real.
To help readers discover these wonderful truths, we include in every RiverOak book a Readers' Guide-probing questions that can be used to delve deeper into the story's message or to spark discussion in a book club.
