About the Author

Dr.Hemangini Waghulade is working as a Professor and H.O.D. of Kriya Sharira U.G. & P.G. Departments in Dr. D. Y. Patil College ‘of Ayurveda & Research Institute,.Nerul, Navi Mumbai. She has completed her graduation and post graduation in Kriya Sharira from R. A. Podar Government Ayurveda College, Mumbai and has been teaching Kriya Sharira for the last fourteen years emphasizing on application & research oriented: teaching. She has developed her department with various innovative charts & electronic models. She is also rendering her services as a Chairman of Preclinical Board of Studies in Ayurveda in D. Y. Patil University and also engaged in regular updating of syllabus for the students. The author is successfully working as an Associate editor for Arogya Rahasya magazine and has many research papers to her credit in both National as- well-as International journals.

Preface

Kriya Sharira is the fundamental subject for the study of Ayurveda. If the concept of Kriya Sharira is understood correctly, all other subjects like Vikruti Vijnana & Kaya Chikitsa are also understood in a proper way. This book entitled Glimpses of Kriya Sharira is especially written for students of BAMS & PG course keeping in view the CCIM syllabus of Kriya Sharira. It includes shlokas related to Kriya Sharira and their translation in English, so that it will be easier to recite and understand shlokas correctly. This book also includes summary of Kriya Sharira, so that the students can revise the subject in easy manner.

In university exams, multiple choice questions, long answer questions, short answer questions are being asked. To write these types of answers in a proper way, this book will be helpful as a guide. Each student should have proper knowledge of shlokas, that is why they are given with translation in this book. To revise the subject anywhere anytime, this book is made available.
