Laghu Siddhant Kaumudi (Set of 2 Volumes)

Many Hindi translations with commentaries of the Laghusiddhanta- Kaumudi have already been published. They do not, however, render superfluous this “new commentary by Sri Mahesh Singh Kushwaha. I have read some portions of it and I found it excellent.. I found it particularly useful for those who are engaged in a study of the work without the help of a teacher. The explanations are clear and anticipate the doubts and difficulties which an intelligent student is likely to experience and are quite adequate to remove them. The book can be put safely into the hands of a beginner. It will not only help him to master this work but will also help him to go further and take up the Madhyasiddhanta-Kaumudi or the Si ddhanta-Kaumudi itself. When the second part dealing with the formation of the words also becomes available, students who want to penetrate the mysteries of the Paninean system of grammar will have an excellent guide in their hands.
