Description
Dwarka went under the sea. What disappeared was more than a city. It was the knowledge of water, drainage, building, trade and life on that coast, carried by people who were no longer there to pass it on.
This is how much of human knowledge has been lost. Life continues. Harvests come in. Courts sit. Roads are repaired. A generation dies, and something it knew disappears with it.
For twelve thousand years, human power has grown. Human self-knowledge has not kept pace. We learned to farm, build. cities, raise armies, create money, cross oceans, harness machines and, finally, build intelligence outside ourselves.
But did we ever understand the human. being receiving all that power?
One civilisation pursued that question with unusual persistence. Men with little more than a clay pot and an iron axe turned inward and asked: Who is it that says I? Their arguments about conscious-ness, identity and the nature of the human being survived long after their cities. changed or disappeared.
Mahaprasthana travels from the retreat of the ice to the rise of artificial intelli-gence, through cities and forests, king-doms and wars, money and machines, the Ramayana and Mahabharata, Dwarka and the Buddha, empire and industry, boardrooms and algorithms.
About the Author
BHUPENDRA CHAUDHARY is a philosopher-scientist, author, and speaker. He is an alumnus of the University of Cambridge, holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy, dual MBA degrees from Santa Clara University in California, and has studied advanced business leadership and management at Harvard Business School and Stanford University. For more than thirty years, he has pursued one question: What remains constant beneath a life in which everything else changes?
His 2026 paper, "Attentional Governance in Human-Al Decision Systems: A Technical Architecture for Judgment Integrity." proposes Attentional Governance as a framework for preserving human judgment and decision integrity in AI-enabled organiza-tions.
Years of research and a body of published, peer-reviewed work lead directly to this book. Mahaprasthana is not a philosopher stepping into the question of machine intelligence from outside. It is the arrival of a long inquiry into a form any reader can hold.
He has developed several frameworks and initiatives through which his work is taught, these include The Meta Awakening, Return to Self, Bhupendra'z Quantumforce, Circle of Consciousness & Happiness, and Chaitanya Yog Kriya.
His other books include I'm Born to Rule and Corporate Blackholes.
